Return Policy
General Returns Policy
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, the Catholic Book Store will be glad to offer an exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. All exchanges and returns must be in resalable condition. This means they must not be altered, personalized in any way, and they must have all original packaging and labels.

Exemptions to the General Returns Policy
Non-Returnable Items: Candles, Gift Certificates, Special Order Items, Clearance/Sale items, 14kt gold items, and any item not in its original packaging or with labels removed including CDs, DVDs, Audio Books, Children’s Musical Toys, and Computer Software.

How to proceed with a return
If you would like to return an item, please make sure that you return the item within 30 days of the date printed on your receipt. Be sure to contact us first before returning any item, because no returns will be accepted without prior authorization.
When contacting us, please provide the following information:
- Order Number
- Reason for Return
- Full Name & Address
- Order Date
After receiving authorization and instructions for a return, it is then the customer’s responsibility to properly package the item for shipping. Any damage caused by shipping due to poor packaging will not be credited. Additionally, original shipping charges to the customer’s address and secondary shipping charges for returns to the store are not refundable, unless the item was damaged during shipping to the customer or the wrong item was sent.

Defective or Damaged Merchandise
If you receive an item that is defective or damaged, please contact us right away for instructions. We will replace the defective or damaged item with an identical item at no charge or provide a full refund including shipping charges to send the item back. Once we receive the damaged item back, we will mail out an identical replacement or we will credit your credit/debit card.

Wrong Item Received
If you have received the wrong item, please contact us right away. If it is our error, we will provide a full refund and reimburse shipping charges to send the item back. If you need the correct item immediately, we will process a new order and your card will be charged accordingly and we will credit your card when we receive the returned item.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, you must notify us and we will provide you with a full refund so long as your order has not already been shipped. If your order has already been shipped, we cannot cancel your order.

Back-Ordered Items
A back-ordered item means we are unable to obtain the item you requested because our vendor is currently out-of-stock of that item. In such a case, we will notify you and provide you with a substitute item or a full refund. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by back-ordered items.
